Feeling Good

Hey Folks!!

It's time to see how I did and see what's is store for next week!

I JUST barely made my weight goal this week, BUT I made it! Let me tell you about my week for a bit. I have been super busy with work (Sunday I even worked from 8am - 10pm. LONG day!). I've been wanting to go to the gym and I'm not trying to make excuses, however, I've been in a lot of pain with my back. I'm not sure if it's a sciatic thing or a herniated disc or what. It's been bad enough though that I made a doctor appointment for Oct 8th... so until then it's going to be limited exercise since I don't want to make anything worse.

I've been pretty good with my eating. 2 things though.... I've slacked a little on the water and I've had a few marshmallow bars at work. WHATEVER! They are DAMN good! lol.

So what were the goals for last week?
My goals for this week:
1. Buy a better scale - nope
2.
Hit the gym at least 3 days - no, due to the back problem
3. Lose 5 pounds. - YES! This was the more important one I'm not going to beat myself up about the other 2

As far as my everyday life goals of living a happier life....
I'm learning to control my anger a little better. A little. It's a work in progress here guys. Nothing is going to come over night. I did get angry about a few situations that maybe I should have let slide. I will admit that. On the other hand, as far as professionalism, I had a confrontation with a customer the other night and I handled myself, and handled him quite well :)
Baby steps people............... baby steps.

Last weeks goals:
1. Buying the book Healing Anger by The Dalai Lama - CHECK
2. Actually reading some of it ;) - CHECK

YES!
Btw, I decided my next tattoo is going to be of the little fat Buddha. I just adore him.

Goals for the week:
1. Lose 5 more pounds (I'm NOT dieting the day of my cousins wedding. It's going to be a "free" day so 5 pounds with limited exercise is pushing it a little. That's good though I don't want to make it too easy)
2. Deal with the back prob (I have a tendency to cancel Dr. appointments. I won't, I won't)

Life:
1. Read more of the book
2. Find out about group therapy in my area
3. Have self control if another situation presents itself this week.

Peace!

  2. Good luck to you! I found your blog via Twitter (where I have followed you). I hope you don't mind?

Keep up the great work. The hardest part is staying on track during the monotonous periods. The first few weeks of working out and dieting you will loose what seems like a huge amount of weight. Just remember that after those first couple weeks, that you really only ought to lose up to 2.5 pounds per week (That's healthy).

I'm right with you. I'm back on a diet and exercise plan, too. So I feel your pain. :)

  3. Hey I don't mind at all if you follow me. Thanks! :). Are you on a specific diet or just eating healthy. I'm not on a special diet or anything.

  4. I'm doing low-carb and at the same time watching sugar and calories. For me, it works really well and I feel so much better without all that processed stuff inside of me.

I can do the eating, it's just getting myself into the gym.

  5. yeah I'm finding the eating thing easy right now. I have NOT made it to the gym at all. I was thinking today that I might take cheese out of my diet for a little while. I think I use it too much as a protein, but it's not the best source of protein.
