OK... it's been a while. I've been busy geez!
I am not here to tell you about any weight loss or life goals I've accomplish or any of that this week. I have news that will affect some things right now so I figured I'd let you know so when you read future blogs you not like "huh?"
I haven't been feeling right lately so I made some doctor appointments. I have insurance why not use it, right?
I've been getting:
Heart palpitations
Dizziness
Back pain
Bad concentration
Insomnia
So the doc took some blood... took some pee... sent me for X-rays.
Turns out I'm Anemic.
I have Low Thyroid levels.
I have Arthritic Changes in my back (Arthritis).
and here's the kicker.......
I am in a Pre-Diabetic stage.
I found all of this out in one day. UGH!!
So no more slacking. I have to go full on crazy with this dieting and get healthy. They are sending me for Physical therapy (if I can afford it that is) so until then I don't really know what I should be doing as far as exercise. If anyone knows feel free to tell me.
Have a great week everyone - be healthy, be safe.
You're totally doing the right thing by checking all that out. the good thing is, it seems to all be at the very early stages, which to me, means you can do something about it (as your title clearly states as well). You can and will get healthy!!!
ReplyDeleteAs for the PT, i've only had that once for neck pain that I have. They said I have the "beginnings of" arthritis in my neck, but when I went for the PT, they seemed to think it was more muscular pain than anythign else. She was totally right cuz as SOON as she worked on me, I felt MUCh better. I kept at it for as long as I could but then I just couldn't hack the copyaments anymore. I never kept up with the stretches too much , so now it's coming back slowly but surely. So, I have to get on teh ball again and do stretches regularly, especiallyw hen i'm at the computer or playing guitar for any amount of time. But my advice would be, wait to see what they do for you, they will know best what should help.
Hang in there, we're all with you!! :o)
PS - please ignore all the horrid typos in there, for some reason it's hard to go back and delete on this thing!!
ReplyDeleteRainee.. thanks for the advice. I've never been to PT before so I wasn't sure what to expect. and hey... you've seen plenty of my typos on aim LOL its cool.
ReplyDeleteWow lady. I had no idea. I am so glad you went to the doctor though. SEEEEEEEEEE. Doctors can be good sometimes. I know that is a lot to intake at one time. But I'm glad you know NOW and not before it gets worse and you had no idea. I agree with Rainee for the therapy. Try it out, see what's best for you and then carry the torch from there. I know you'll do your best because you can do whatever you put your mind to it. No doubt about it. I'm with you 110%. Let me know if you need anything. Keep us posted!!
ReplyDeleteThanks dear :)
ReplyDeletehey, sorry it took me so long to read this... i've always been avoidant when it comes to doctors... truth be told, i went to the gyno for the first and only time about 2 years ago... and as for the regular doctor... i went once about 5 years ago when i was dying of the flu... but i haven't had a full on check up, blood work or anything like that probably since my college physical, so... um, about 15 years maybe? in any case, this is obviously not good and my g/f has had enough, so she made me a doctor's appointment... in January... that's when he's taking new patients... oh well... i'm kinda looking forward to it and scared shitless all at the same time. i haven't exactly been feeling that well lately either, so i think it's about time i go... sorry i don't have any advice for you, but i definitely can relate... i'm hoping for the best... positive vibes going out to ya!
